Numbness red and tingling right index finger

For the past couple days the right side of my index finger on my right hand has gone a little numb, red, and a tingling sensation. Should I see my doctor if it doesn't go away? Also a few days before it started i had a sharp pain in my right arm that lasted only a day. Don't know if it's connected or not.
