Hi. I've been diagnosed with penile fungal infection and prescribed with Nystatin cream and Baneocin. I feel terrible pain when applying Nystatin for about 2-3 mins and then it releases me. Only a feeling of irritation remains. My doc says it might be cause of fungus has damaged my foreskin and glans and he encourages me to continue suffering that way, but Im not particularly sure about this, as this morning I also noticed a little blood where I applied the cream last night. Should I go on using Nystatin or STOP IT immediately? Could it make any additional damage to my organ? Thanks in advance.

That sounds like a very difficult position to be in. If you actually are starting to bleed, it's a good idea to talk to your doctor about it right away. My thinking is that the blood could possibly be due to irritation on the penis based on this fungus but I do not want to speculate. I know it is painful but it may not be a good idea to quit taking your drug because the fungal infection can get worse. PLease keep us posted on what your doctor says!
