I am having the same thing and it started last night (supposedly its called steatorrhea). I didn't eat alot of nuts or any cashews, some fruit salad and cookies with nuts, also i didn't have any fish. So the main theory circulating here doesn't work for me, also i haven't taken alli or any other weight loss meds. The only medicine I have been taking recently is Clindamycin HCl Oral for infection that my dentist prescribed to aid a root canal. As for my diet recently, its normal, i ate more meat than i usually do yesterday for christmas, but besides that i am eating about the same things as normal. I have to say that I don't have, and have never really had, a good and healthy diet, but like i said i haven't changed my diet a lot recently.
So does anyone know what else it could be besides nuts or fish? Has anyone from this forum gone to the doctor or has other worse symptoms related to this after writing in this forum? Does it just go away (especially in cases where its not caused by nuts) on its own or has something worse resulted?

i am a little worried but can't go to my doctor for more than a week because they are 7 hours away, and i don't have insurance to go to another one.
it would also be nice if anyone who has had this and talked to a doctor who knows all about it would request that the doctor(s) look at this forum and respond.
Thanks

i just ate a whole mess of em and i just found those orange drops in my stool, i guess that's the problem

I've had the same symptoms- orange oil droplets in stool, ruined boxers, and a worried wife. My online research showed that "escolar" (aka. super white tuna or butter fish) can cause this and its sale is even banned in some countries.

To my relief, that's what I had for dinner (and leftover lunch today). We bought a pound of it in a market, frozen sushi grade super white tuna, and devoured it as sashimi with soy sauce and wasabi.

The symptoms should clear by tomorrow- if not, will see my physician. If it does, will remove that fish from my dietary regimen. But the fish really was good.

Hi All,
Thanks for this posting. My daughter has been eating 1/3 cup of cashews every day for a month now and she started having occasional orange oil leakage. She's only 6 so eating that much cashews may be the cause. We're going to reduce that and see what happens.
You have provided much peace of mind!
Thanks again!

I ate probably a cup of cashews Wednesday and had a few again yesterday along with a take out salad (haven't had take out in a month and a half). Oily drops on the tissue and in the commode, I was totally about to lose it until I read others experience with cashews. My initial thought was the fact I had been eating better since the beginning of the new year and it was fat passing through so I guess I was right. Hope it goes away soon!

OMG this is so crazy, I have been experiencing this same exact problem but I noticed this problem when I take some diet pills called alli and also some other one called stimerex.....I am not a doctor but my guess is that it is in fact fat or something to that nature, I did come online to see if i can get some kind of clue to what is it that happen in other cases. I got to say i really think it is fat but once I read all the post am really clueless........This is what has been occurring I wake up and for breakfast or any other meal I take my alli and eat a healthy diet and I always get a stomach ache just like anyone would if they had diarrhea then with every time I go to the bathroom even to urinate I get this oily orange liquid, sometimes more than other times......Please if there is anyone else that has been maybe taking some diet pills or Alli have this same problem please reply...Thanks and good luck to everyone else that is experiencing this! ;-)

I knew it!! i was high as a fool yesterday and all i had laying around to eat was a tub of cashews. I had eaten half the thing until my buzz wore off and within a few hours i became constipate. just a few minute ago i had the weirdest sh*t i have ever taken. I thought the load of orange droplets that laced my toilet may have been blood, so i immediately began searching the web. I feel very relieved after reading this article

I had this orange oil for about 9 months had lost almost 2 stones. Now 2 1/2 years later i have had 2 attacks (that's what i call them) since then. I gave a sample to GP who asked "what do you want me to look for" I said something to do with food or fat maybe. Anyway he didn't sent it off to be checked. I think it is something to do with fat leaving the body, malabsorbtion, I have no idea can anyone help as all weight has come back.

Whew, I just noticed the orange-like droplets that reminded me of Bolognese Sauce. At first I thought it was blood and got on the web (God bless..) immediately. A lot of sites were very unhelpful, and pointed to several internal problems; thus getting me all worked up.

After reading this I see that Nuts are the evil fiends behind this. I just ate a full pack of Dry Roasted nuts last night. I am very relieved.

I don't believe it has anything to do with nuts, fish or such like. I was not eating any of these and I still had the orange oil happening. Did it put anyone off their food?So far no one's mentioned this.
