Hi, so recently my girlfriend started having severe pain after sex/sexual stimulation. It used to happen maybe once a month, but now it happens nearly every other time. She describes the pain as a sharp stabbing that pulses with her heartbeat. It's located just to the left of the middle of her chest - under her ribs and in that general area. If she curls up in the fetal position, it makes it more bearable, as does trying to hold her breath. This doesn't happen to her at any other time. She also says she remembers being told that she has a large thyroid gland. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
