I had gotten ACL surgery done a whole year ago. I am getting pain in my knee but not able to point out with my finger. I went for a follow up appointment and my doctor says that it might be tendonitis. Could that be the case?

Hi there,
In my opinion the pain that you are experiencing might be too strong for just a small trauma. When did you have the surgery? Have you had any physical stress that might have affected your knee? In some cases the knee cap might cause the problem if you are not able to pin point the location of your pain. Have you used any medication to get rid of the pain? I think that you might benefit from physical therapy but you have to talk to your doctor first about this. This also could be caused by tendonitis. I hope that you will find the right cause of your pain.
All the best,
Danella
