I'm a 22 yr old female and I've been having swelling and pain in the neck on one side, armpits, and groin on both sides. It started when I woke up one day to my lymph node in my neck swollen on one side and it fluctuated thoughtout the day but never went away. Then the other ones gradually started and it's been like this for two months. They're not all swollen right now it seems they might be finally going down but the ones that are feel hard and small and some of them mainly in my groin and armits are painful...I have a physical next week but I'm a bit nervous and wondering what kind of tests should I be having and could this be something serious? I haven't really been sick recently either, the last time I was really sick was about four months ago when I had a very high fever and bad headache. Lately I have been having severe chills even though it's not cold outside. I know I probably should of went to the doctor sooner but I have been putting it off because I was hoping it would just go away or get better on it's own. I'm very concerned because I have been sick a lot of times but never have had problems with my lymph nodes. Rarely in the past one might swell up but go away the next day. Any advice? Stories of your own? What could this be? I know it could be a number of things and have been scaring myself and worrying quite a bit so it'd be nice to have some kind of reasurance and not jump to conclusions that it must be something really awful.
