Hello! My sister has found few soft and mobile groin lymph nodes. She doesn’t have any other symptoms like bladder or vaginal pain, burning while urinating or something that may be the symptom of some infection. She is afraid it could be the sign of cancer. Hello! Groin lymph nodes are usually felt, just like the ones in the neck and under the arms. In the absence of other symptoms such as fevers, night sweats, weight loss, lack of energy or itching this is probably nothing serious. But, sometimes an infection could start without any symptoms like pain or burning. If the lymph nodes becomes painful or start to increase your sister should visit her doctor since this could be the sign of some infection or sexually transmitted disease. Usually, doctors prescribe antibiotics which help in case it is an infection and some of them prescribe ibuprofen to help in the case of pain and swelling. It may be swollen for months or may never return to normal.
