Sorry this is late, but other than ingrown hairs, hidradenitis suppurativa also starts this way. It's also known as acne inversa. HS is a progressive disease that causes boil like lumps. As the disease progresses, it scars over leaving red and purple spots from the lumps reappearing in the same spots. It may also spread to under the bust, the groin, the thighs, and the butt, but less commonly may be anywhere else on the body. The only way to know for sure is to see a dermatologist. HS is very common and not everyone progresses to severe stages, so many just assume they have acne or ingrown hair.

My spots didn't go away using any of these remedies. If that happens to you, you probably need antibiotics and a cream. It occurres from cutting the skin when shaving especially when shaving with your non preferred hand ie. under your right armpit while shaving with the left hand as the left hand isn't as skilled

I had mrsa a few years back after being on several antibiotics nothing was working. My doc decided to try 2 different ones and gave me take bleach baths monthly. Sounds weird but it cleanses your skin and definitely worked for me!

Two other remedies my grandmother taught me and they work perfectly everytime. I went the the doctor once to have one lanced but it continue to come back even after that. So now I only use these two at home... no more doctors for this. 1. Tape a penny over the boil and let it stay over night it will come to a head and bust on its on. Sometimes it takes two days. 2. Crack an egg and pull the lining from the eggshell (carefully, its easy to tear) try to get a piece of it large enough to cover boil and place directly on it will dry on you and when you wake up the boil will have burst in the lining. no mess.
