Hi,
I have had grade 1 spondylolisthesis for some years now.
Recently, during physical examination, my doctor has extended my back and now I have a bony bump on my lumbar spine. (I have more back pain and discomfort than before)
I got my x-ray done a couple of weeks later, and it showed only a very minor slippage (I think it’s still grade 1).
I thought palpable step off only occurs in high grade slippage??? Why do I have this bump now? (I’m not an athlete/gymnast)
My doctor told me to just ignore it, but I don’t understand how I could suddenly get a bony bump and be told nothing much happened. Are x-rays a reliable source for spondy? Or should I get MRI/CT scan done? Thanks in advance.
Should I be worried?

*when I sai palpable step-off...I meant it as in I can feel the bump with my hands
I can't see the bump when I'm standing straight, but if I bend forward, I can see it (just a slight bump)
Thanks again
