i had a chest infection and the doctor gave me NOPRIMAL penicillin tablets to take in the morning and evening.
technically i should stop using them in a few days but the day i stop using them i have my own party to attend to..the last tablet should be in the morning so would it be ok to drink around 12 hours after my last tablet???

Mixing antibiotics with alcohol is usually a bad idea, though it heavily depends on the antibiotic you are taking. It can make the antibiotic less effective, can do damage to your liver, and can even give you more serious side effects like breathlessness and irregular heartbeat.
Having said that, you should be absolutely fine having a few drinks 12 hours after you finish your course of penicillin. I really wouldn't think anything bad would happen to you, especially if the chest infection has completely cleared up. If in doubt, always call your doctor, or if you don't want to do that, ask a pharmacist, who often know just as much if not more about drugs as doctors do.
