About eighteen months ago, I went for a 30 minute run on a treadmill in the gym. Normally I would wear tight briefs to keep my genitalia in place, but this time I forgot and left my briefs at home, and only wore a large pair of loose-fitting boxers underneath my shorts. There was no pain initially after the run, but a couple of days later, I began to experience a  painful throbbing in my testes and behind this area. This pain subsided after about two months, but was painful for this entire time.

Since that time, a slight pain has remained behind and to the right of my groin, as though someone is holding and slightly “pulling down” on my testes. This uncomfortable-ness has meant I am not able to “push down” when I am using exercise equipment such as a cross trainer, as the pain is both behind my right groin, and also down my right leg. This has been a problem as since this time, and with this discomfort, I have been unable to sustain as full an erection as before, as the “right side” groin pain seems slightly intensified when I have an erection, and somehow feels “tighter” during periods of arousal. I am still able to become erect, through stimulation, but for shorter period than before, and just seems less “vigorous” than before.  After this time, at the point of ejaculation there has been, in the past few months – though not recently, a sort of “grinding” sensation, which has made orgasm uncomfortable.

At this time, I have suffered from depression for the past several years, and so understand that depression can affect performance in this way. However, I do believe that in this instance that it is the other way around, and that this pain (whatever it is) has made my mental state worse, as I am still worried about this now too.

Many thanks for reading this – have put this down, in order to clarify what is a very personal and emotive issue for me.
