I AM 40 YEARS OF AGE, I HAVE BEEN ON A PERIOD SOLIDLY FOR 21 DAYS,CLOTTING FOR 7 DAYS IS THIS A HEALTH WORRY OR AM I GOING THROUGH THE CHANGE.

Laura, It is not uncommon to have heavier periods when you get older. Hormone changes and age does cause heavier and longer periods, also skipping of months starts to happen around age 40. However, you should see your doctor anyway just to be sure that age is all that is going on. As you get more into your forties you start to get into the start of menopause, this causes irregular periods and longer or even sometimes shorter periods to happen. Make an appointment as soon as possible with your doctor anyway, Good luck.
