I am currently having the same problem as the 17-teen year old. I have this problem for about 4-5 days now and it started the day after I had sex with my boyfriend. I have never had pinkish discharge before and I am worried because I don't have health insurance so it's not that easy to be seen by a doctor. The discharge is followed by itching and irritation when ever it touches the vulva of my vagina.

It could be yeast infection or bacterial one. You may buy a 3 day yeast treatment in a pharmacy and see if the itching and irritation go away. Do not have sex during the treatment.
If the symptoms don't go away, then it could be some kind of bacterial infection (Including STD) and in that case you should find a way to see a doc to determine which infection and have it treated properly.
Chlamydia can cause infertility you know if not treated on time (not that I want to scare you :-()
