Hi,
I wanted to know how does Plan B work?
I had an unprotected intercourse on 1st Jan'13 (My periods ended on 30th Dec'12). Just to make sure I don't get pregnant I had Plan B the next day which was a little more than 24 hours after the intercourse.
I got my periods on 7th Jan which lasted for 4 days (my periods last for 4 days usually). However, today i.e on 19th Jan, I got my periods again. And this is my regular cycle time. But since this month I got them on 7th, Im wondering why would I get them again after 10 days.
I had Plan B about 2 months back as well but did not get these symptoms at all. I did not bleed after taking Plan B the previous time that I took it.
I am a liitle worried now.Should I get a pregnancy test done?
Thanks for your help.

Hi Simdim,
I don't think you are pregnant.
Plan B can do different things depending upon when you take it during your cycle and it can trigger bleeding. Your cycle can also be a bit irregular. It will return to normal shortly.
Hope it helps.

Thank you so much for the information.
So, I don't think I need to panic now. Do you think, I should take the pregnancy test though?
Also, if one gets periods, does that mean that pregnancy is ruled out completely?

No, I don't think you need to panic.
If you have a "normal" period, like your others, then it is very unlikely you are pregnant. You can have bleeding if you are pregnant but it is not a period.
You can always take a test if you want. You need to wait at least 2 weeks, which it has been. Just use your first morning - wakeup - urine for the best accuracy.
Hope it helps.
