Has the cause of your abdominal pain been determined? It is highly unlikely that the polyps were causing the pain because they are usually asymptomatic. Did they tell you how big they are? Do you know what this other small lesion represents?

Gallbladder polyps are in 95% benign and do not make you more prone to cancer like colon polyps do. Gallbladder polyps consist of cholesterol, muscle tissue or inflammatory tissue. It is impossible to remove them because they are inside the gallbladder but if they turn out to be bigger than one centimeter in size, some surgeons decide to remove the whole gallbladder especially because gallbladder stones may be present as well.

So, we can conclude that gallbladder polyps are not dangerous and are most likely not the cause of your abdominal pain. What did your doctors suggest next?
