Almost immediantly after intercourse (w/o a condom) with my husband, I urinate, and will experience extreme vaginal discomfort. The pain will often range from only minor burning when urinating, to almost unbearable pressure and burning combined. I don't know what could be causing this as it does not occur EVERY TIME, and we always wash our "areas" and urinate before and after. If anyone has any advice at all, please let me know. Or, if this is a "disorder", please inform me.

I have the exact same problem. I've read that it may be an allergy to the proteins in his semen and that a dr can help you undergo therapy where your partners semen is inserted in your vagina or under your skin to determine a reaction.

it is very possible to have an allergic reaction to sperm as itchiness, swelling, painful intercourse, as well as pain after intercourse are all signs. In some cases due to this allergic reaction some women can even go into shock due to the allergic reaction. It is hard to get pregnant if in fact you are allergic but not impossible. One way is to lift your a$$ after intercourse for 2 mins. If in fact the a lot of semen still leaks out you are infarct allergic and in this case you need to see a doctor that will be able to treat this for you. Most treatments are believe it or not treated like the flu, in which your partners semen will be injected into you so you become immune to the antibodies and can become pregnant or simply not have an allergic reaction.
One of the most common mistakes that doctors will make if you are seen by a bad doctor is pelvic inflammatory disease. They will more then likely state you have this versus actually checking your partner as well.
Hope this helps.

I had thought for years that I was allergic to my husband's sperm. My skin would turn immediately red if his sperm was in contact with it (ie;stomach). I finally went to an allergist and got tested. Turns out I am more allergic to him than I am to shellfish! Not a good thing when we are trying to get pregnant. I have found that taking a Benadryl immediately before or after sex helps. However this kills the chance of getting pregnant. We are going to try artificial insemination...

For DECADES I had burning and swelling after sex with my husband (with out condoms). We went to many doctors. We did many things . He took cipro(an antibiotic) and other antibiotics. We could not get pregnant. Life was miserable. It was over 20 years ago and doctors just blamed me (the woman) instead of looking closer at him. Then we went to an unrologist at UCSF who was VERY good. He put my husband on MACRODANTIN (a drug used for urinary tract infections). He said he had an infection in his vas defrens tubes (spelling may be wrong). After only a few days we had normal sex...NO BURNING after all those years. In two months I was pregnant. We had one child as we were in our 40's by the time we met Dr. Turek at UCSF. I hope this helps someone so we did not suffer in vain. Macrodantin is a common drug. Have your partner take it for you If you are reacting to his sperm. Rule out infection. Don't assume YOU have an allergy. It could be HIM.

Antihistamines reduce your chances of pregnancy. Benadryl is an antihistamine. You can google and it'll tell you why. Benadryl can also cause erectile dysfunction.
