I decided a few months ago to g from combination pill which I've been Mostly on them for 18 years, but decided was time, I was on first few months, but in December my period was late, I started with nauseas thought I was pregnant, then it hit a world wind of insomnia/ a PTSD kind of anxiety break down which I've had 2 times before, then I've looked and soooo many women have experienced anxiety/panic with coming off the hormonal pill? It's been weeks and I'm still feel bloody shitty back on pill mood is more regular but now I need therapy as it's brought up all my past trauma. I just didn't realise it would cause a sh*t storm
Hi, guest.
If you are experiencing post birth control anxiety, the first step is to speak to your healthcare provider about your symptoms.
Depending on the severity of your anxiety, your healthcare provider may recommend psychological counseling, medications, or lifestyle changes.
Additionally, there are some self-help strategies that may help you manage your anxiety:
- Exercise: Regular physical activity can help reduce anxiety and stress.
- Relaxation techniques: Mindfulness, deep breathing, and progressive muscle relaxation can help you manage your anxiety.
- Counseling: Talking to a mental health professional can help you learn how to better manage your anxiety.
- Support groups: Joining a support group can help you feel connected to others who are struggling with similar issues.
- Lifestyle changes: Eating a healthy diet, getting enough sleep, and reducing stress can help you manage your anxiety.
When is your period due this month?
