Since I've had my gallbladder removed (10 days ago), I have this constant "hunger pang" response going on in my stomach area, has anyone ever experienced this same feeling and do you know why it's happening? Any fixes? I am feeling consistently sickly

I had my gallbladder removed nearly three weeks ago and am experiencing the same symptoms. It seems as long as I keep food in there I'm ok, but when my stomach starts to get empty it burns and hurts. Sometimes right after I eat, I feel those hunger type pains. I also seem to get pain after eating anything sugery. I had inflamation of the pancreas assumed to be caused by the gallbladder, but that doesn't seem to have resolved either. Frustrating isn't it?

I think what you are describing sounds like post-cholecystectomy syndrome. It is often encountered after gallbladder removal when the sphincter of oddi malfunctions and causes painful spasm. Research "sphincter of oddi dysfunction" and you will probably find you fit the profile. There are many out there that experience this and have started a support group to compare notes. Hope this helps
