Went through the menopause 8 years ago, am 58 now. No big deal, just some hot flushes. Found sex uncomfortable, though, as I was dry. For the last few months, though, I have had plenty of lubrication again. A week ago, I had a thick, rubbery discharge just for one day. Then, a couple of days ago, I had a small patch of brown on my underwear ... about the size of a 5 pence piece. Nothing since, though I have had a slight ache at the base of my stomach .... like the old days when a period was due. I am absolutly terrified. Reading the other pages, the brown spotting doesn't seem to be uncommon, but no-one came up with an answer as to what it is. Anyone had any results?
