hello I got a stent 6 months ago for 100% blocked lad. might have had a small mi in months before was stable due to collateral vessels. have noticed every once in a while there are episodes where I get a feeling of weakness, lightheaded, like my my body is just not being oxygenated properly. bp and heart rate are normal when this happens but the last episode there was an obvious resolution where it literally felt like there was a burst of oxygenated blood that was being restored. this is obviously unnerving and doesn't seem to make sense given normal pulse and bp. all recent tests have been normal bu haven't had any test during one of these episodes. plan on making an appt to discuss w/ dr but was wondering if any one has had similar experience.

What did this feeling of the "burst of oxygenated blood" feel like? I am wondering if you are experiencing any blood sugar issues? With a low blood sugar, a person will feel lightheaded and weak. Since you said your pulse and blood pressure are fine during these episodes, it leads me to wonder about that. What prescription meds are you taking? When you have these episodes, does anything make you feel better? Do you have any other symptoms that accompany the weakness and faintness? Keep me updated on the diagnosis you receive from your doctor after your appointment. I would be curious to know what you have going on.

thanks for reply. hard to describe feeling other than that it was a palpable sense of return to normalcy fairly quickly after stated symptoms of weakness, lightheadedness at one point felt a little tingly in lower right arm. I take effient full dose aspirin and simvastatin and nothing makes these symptoms better, they seem to resolve on their own. blood sugar is an interesting idea and will report back after dr visit.
