Hi I'm Carla and need some help if possible.  I had TVT surgery a month ago now, everything seemed to go fine, I was never in pain but by the end of the first week had problems urinating, mostly at night, one night I would go and the next I had urine retention.  Was given pills to take to relax my bladder at night but these did not agree with me.  Still experienced being able to urinate one time and then not the next time. Had the tape loosened and everything seemed back to normal especially during the day was emptying fine but at night when I would lie down to sleep the urge to urinate was there. Had to go about four times at night would empty fine but then within next ten minutes had to go again, as a result not getting enough sleep, dr. suggested taking a sleeping pill at night, which has helped a little and was told this is just to get my bladder back to normal, it has been three nights and still having to get up and incidentally am still very tired the next morning. what i want to know is why when I lie down am I getting the urge to go to the toilet.
