Recently after my girlfriend gave me oral sex, I kissed her and we know some of my precum passed into my mouth then. But it's been a few weeks and my saliva is stringy than usual I think. It is believed that it goes away within a few days, I'm not too sure really. But it's been 3 weeks. Could it be something else? Or are there situations where it can actually stay by getting caught in a gland and continue producing? I know it sounds ridiculous but is it possible?

You are freaking yourself out for nothing.
Nothing gets cought in the gland and it's not producing anything.
Your question is not ridiculous, but relax, it's not possible.
Oral sex is normal and common and practiced all over the world.

bbfeet9 is right.
You're freaking out over nothing.
If you are concerned, drink more water.
Your saliva is simply dehydrated.

Stringy salive... interesting. Dehydration typically however results in a foamy saliva when it gets severe. Stringy, it is allergy season, I think you're, as they said, getting bent over nothing. One thing you may look into is candida, it's that "yeast" of yeast infections. But before you get all grossed out, it's in everyone, your mouth, mine, as well as women's genitalia. An imbalance of candida can result in a stringy saliva.
I'll assume you're healthy so I won't go into diabetes/cancer (chemo/radiation) or HIV compromises to the immune system of your body, however. There are a lot of things that effect the oral mucosa environment in your mouth in such a way that can allow candida to flourish. Being Xerostomia, Antibiotic therapy, Poor oral or denture hygiene, Malnutrition/Gastrointestinal malabsorption, Iron, folic acid, or vitamin deficiencies, Acidic saliva/Carbohydrate-rich diets, Heavy smoking, Oral epithelial dysplasia. Other than this, there are some strains of C. albicans that are pathogenic and can cause acute infection. If you continue to have problems, go see a doctor, otherwise rectify any of the previous predispositions I mentioned and see if you can clear it up.
[[ this may not even be the case, but a likely suspect, keep that in mind ]]

:-) dont freak yourself out over this.. you are just a little dehydrated.. drink plenty of water, nothing short of actually having cum (and more than just a little precum) in your mouth will actually cause this
