Hi,

I woke up 12 days ago with a headache. It then turned into pressure at my temples and has not gone away. It is there when I wake up and is still there when I go to bed. I tried taking antibiotics thinking it was sinus related but they did not change anything. I tried taking extra strength tylenol and Motrin for migraines which also did not alleviate the pressure.
I am not dizzy now but i was dizzy for about two to three days. I am supposed to fly home for the holidays but the doctor at the local clinic said I could have a brain tumour or aneurysm and should not fly.
All the literature I have read on Aneurysms and tumours state a severe painful headache which I do not have....just pressure. I am slated for a CAT scan in January but if it is an aneurysm I think I should be seen earlier.
I am worried and scared at the same time.
Do you have any suggestions?

You have a right to be worried. I am guessing that you are slated for a CT scan in January instead of earlier in December because of the Christmas season. Apparently the mildness of your symptoms may have convinced your doctor that your possible aneurysm is unlikely to rupture anytime soon. In fact, many people go through life not knowing that they have one or more small unruptured aneurysms which are often discovered only by chance at autopsies. I suggest that you voice your concern to your doctor. This can often change their mind.
