Herbal remedies are also a great way to get real relief from hemorrhoids. There are herbs out there that are proven to work well. Check out Hemrid or some similar type of herbal product. NO knife and you take them orally as opposed to smearing cream on your bum.XD

I have been blessed by not having these (even after having 4 children); however, I don't quite understand the pain that y'all are expressing.  My concern is that my 13 year old has been chronically constipated since birth.  She has not been able to explain to me what is going on with her body since she obviously doesn't know.  I'm guessing its hemorrhoids.  She is getting over a virus and cannot stand from the pain she says.  She can't sit up, she can only lie down.  She won't eat because she is afraid of having to go to the bathroom.  I have no idea of what to do other than request a referral to a pediatric GI from our pediatrician (who insists that all of this would clear up if we continue with Miralac, Metamucill, diet high in fiber, stay away from cheese and apples, and drinking a lot of water.)  I was hoping to see another person my daughters' age experiencing these problems.  I just thought that she wouldn't go.  Now I'm understanding from reading all of these posts that she doesn't want to because of the pain from the hemorrhoids.  Now I'm wondering if she has had them all along and the best solutions for her sake.

OMG! I am So sad to read about the 13 yr. old! My 'piles' & pain began around 14 or 15. My mom has never had them either, she's 92 now. I'm 53 & suffering from the worst flare-up Ever! I remember how hard & large my BMs would be sometimes. Have her CHANGE HER DIET! No beef! Not even hotdogs! Eat salads, taco bell has a great chicken cantina bowl! Eat Activia yogurt - daily! Take a stool softner, 2-4 nightly! PrepH has been with me since that 1st hard BM. I've had them off & on for almost 40 yrs! Struggling thru this time, I've had to go beyond prepH. Creams are good, but healing comes from within. Homeopathic pills are great! Go to walgreen's online & search hemorrhoids. I use hyland's pills & hemaway cream. The best pill for pain is Aleve or Ibuprofen, whichever works best for her. I recently ordered Venapro, will let you know how it works: pills & spray. She should Drink plenty of water! Fiber Cereal (oats, bran, etc) with milk or half n half is good. I understand what she is going thru. Give her a good laxative/stool softner to begin with, like dulcolax S or the generic. Tell her also not to strain during the BM if possible, instead, she should pull her knees up as close to her chest as possible - @ least one while elevating the other. The colorectum is angled, comes out easier. Hope this helps. Please keep me posted on how she's doing.

I am in a unique and unpleasant position as I am 48 years old and 100% housebound due to my disability ( muscular dystrophy ).

My hemorrhoids have been painful for years but recently I am in agony with pain radiating out to my left buttock and lower back and a lot more blood in my bowel movements which to make things worse are always liquid due to living on fresubin (liquid food replacement ).

Has anyone anyone any suggestions

After 2 months, here's the update i promised. I can finally sit & have a BM without excruciating, tear falling, hollering OMG pain! I've changed my diet, drastically; Activia w/Fiber is breakfast, a multigrain cereal is my late night snack. I'm taking Venapro (1 daily now) & Hem-b-Gone (3 3x daily - except 2 w/Venapro). I began w/Venapro - it's slow but has great ingredients. Then a bottle of Hem-Relief, 3 3x daily, Some relief, got the ball rolling. Now Hem-b-Gone is IT! 2 weeks, much better! Even took a church bus ride: 45 minute trip w/bumps/rr tracks! Nolie's Naturals sells it online. It is working so far, really well for me. Go to their page & check it out. They even offer a 90-day return for money back!

I am 29 a slim female, im in agony with chest pains tonight with shooting pains in the back of my left leg (which is a new one)

im really worried about the future and how the doctors will treat me after reading about other peoples experiences :-( i have to work aswell :-( im doomed :-(

Greetings Jim;

                       I`ll be brief, I researched this subject and a myriad of others for decades. It is what I do. You can cure these. I have. The cure comes in the form of searching out the cause. Certain foods also exacerbate the problem greatly. Like sugars, meats, and refined carbohydrates. I refer you to the naturopathic sciences in learning how to detoxify your body properly, removing microbials, heavy metals, strengthening the liver, and cleansing the colon. Make this your quest my friend and you will not only overcome this severe health challenge, every other single aspect of your health will get better...You will gain back area`s of health you never even knew were missing, I AM POSITIVE, and I know of what I speak, as I have done it all. I usually charge for my services when my patients get ZERO help from their doctors. However you sound like you are really searching..... Take charge of your health, do your own research...Youtube is a good place to connect with some of the best Clinicians in the world. I wish you open-mindedness, and every success which can and will follow this new beginning. Cheers

Reading all these comments while tears fall down your face in bed. I'm 22, I've recently (2-3 months ago) had my first experience.. located right by the anus it passed after a week or so. But now its back with a vengeance. But interestingly enough the pain is elsewhere. On my left buttock, it hurts.. really bad (right around the area where the muscle contracts. I cant cough, can't sneeze, passing gas is hard.. I have a high pain tolerance but this is a lot to bear. I've been using preporation h wipes and suppositorys. Its been 4 days.. idk how much longer I can take this.
