Hi! I don' think I could be of much help but I will tell you what I know I remember I was reading something about it for I needed it to know for one of my exams. I know for sure that it is the worse type of plastic ever and I even think that use of PVC is prohibited for it contains some toxic materials such as mercury, phthalates and dioxins which may cause some serious health conditions in man such as cancer. So I don't think PVC is about to be used as some kind of ecological plastic in which could be safely kept some medical materials such as some liquids or similar…and besides that PVC is contaminated especially when recycled … the fact is that PVC can not even be recycled effectively for it consists much toxic materials so all in all PVC is hazardous and is not recommended to be used in medicine.
