I have a question regarding oral hygiene and cavities. I feel like I take very good care of my teeth, but at the same time every visit to the dentist for the past 2 or so years I find I have 1-2 more cavities. The only advice my dentist gives me is "Brush more", but I feel like I'm already brushing quite often. Currently I brush twice a day (after breakfast and when I go to bed...with one of those rotary electric toothbrushes), for about 5min each time, floss once a day at night, and use fluoride mouthwash twice a day after brushing as well. I also dont drink anything but water, and eat practically no sweets at all, and even chew sugarfree gum after a meal if I cant brush. Does anyone know of anything I may be doing wrong, or anything I can do in addition to this to keep from getting so many cavities? I know, one roommate I had used to only brush once a day and drink like 4 cokes a night, and had never had a cavity in his life! I just feel like I'm doing everything right but that it isn't having much effect at all. I am very thankful for any help or advice in advance!
