i had my reversible colostomy placed due to incontinence and to help wound healing on my ischium and now 2 years later i have the occasional tan pasty like discharge that smells of feces. is this normal? what actions should i take. I've been told its normal but why so long after my procedure did this happen? can anyone help me or advise me on what to do?!

I have a patient with rectal discharge. She asked me to research this cause she has not gotten any answer from her doctor. I have had patient who had this problem and iit went away after 3 weeks. Hers have been going on for 3 months after the surgery and she is very conscious about it. Every time she turns, it pours out, making her not wanna got to therapy or even get out of bed. can anyone offer some advice.
