Hi, im 15 and im a Muslim girl. I have only had 2 boyfriends, but never done any physical things with them, i haven't even kissed a boy yet. My last boyfriend was very bad towards me he was very controlling. Whenever we argued, he would bring up my past. I split up with him a while ago and when I did i had a "friend with benefits" who attempted to kiss me onthe lips. Ofcourse i backed away and slapped him as i didnt give permission for him to do this, i dont see it as an kiss because it wasnt one. Anyway, after this i got back with my ex and he would always call me a slag or prostitute for this. But it wasnt even my fault? I have been crying ever since i have heard these names.. I have checked with a mirror if i had a hymen or not because i was suspicious as i could feel that air could go through there, and i didnt have a hymen. In my culture if you dont bleed during your sexual intercourse on the wedding night you arent considered as a virgin. But i am, but it still worries me. I havent spoke to my mum about it because im scared to do so, what if she thinks im not a virgin?! I would never have sex before marriage! My ex also knew about this hymen thing he said he trusted me and knew i was a virgin. But then when we split up, he said i wasnt a virgin and i was a w****!! :'( This upsets me so much, i would really like it if somebody could help me!! Im so worried im nearly becoming depressed...

if you dont have anything to hide i dont think you should worry. Do you ever masturbate? or even sometimes a tampon can pop your hymen. If you think your mom will understand and not be angry i think that you should just talk to her about your problem. Thats what moms are for right? If you do not think she will take it well, just talk to another adult. Like a counselor. If you go to a school and are not home schooled you could make an appointment to talk to your school counselor. Also, if its something that you are willing to do, there is a surgery that can be done to re-intact your hymen.

Dear, am also a Muslim guy and I think you no need to worry about it. if there is any problem on your hymen you could wait until you get 21 or 22. then you will understand and you can find a best and good solution for that.
