that was good advice I've had my rotator cuff surgery and bicep September 27th 2016 and I am still in a lot of pain I am in therapy now but think I am rushing it so that I can go back to work early bad move on my end you need to take it slow and do as the therapist and doctor says all this is good advice to me and I will try that heating pad but this surgery takes a long time for healing so follow all instructions that the doctor gave you because you're going to need it this is a serious operation that takes time to heal and I hope you have a speedy recovery

went to surgery for RC but it healed itself. It was impinged nerve that caused the issues and the hospital has been given a $31,000 bill for the non-surgery. There are alternatives.

Did anyone lose feelings in their finger tips after their surgery? I started getting the numbness and tingling about a month after my surgery.. and the pain has increased too. I am 10 weeks post surgery.

Can anyone give me guidance. I have a complete tear and a partial tear in rc. Had a shot that lasted 8 mo. Would not know I had a problem no pain. It is wearing off so I am trying to decide if I get another shot, or just go for the surgery. I work from home doing accounting work a lot of paperwork and phone work. If I get this surgery will I be able to do work after two weeks. I know there is pain but these posts are making me wonder if I should just keep getting shots every 8 months or so. Afraid at some point my arm will get worse and it will be to late to repair. It is my dominate side. Any thoughts would be appreciated. I get sick on narcotics and need to sleep so I can do my work, is it possible to accomplish this.

I'm one week post-op from dominant side RCT SAD repair/scope..and feel like I could go back to work and could possibly begin throwing again. Full range of motion back. Occasionally have a lightning bolt pain if i turn and reach a certain way. Am I a special case? I haven't worn a sling but once. No pain meds. 3 half inch incision sites, sutures, lots of purple bruising. Are you guys telling me I'll get worse in a few weeks? I can pull up my hair, wash it, snap my bra..I'm independent anyhow. But seeing so many of you have so many problems. Blows my mind.

I recommend getting the surgery. The recovery is up to the patient. Im 1 wk post op and feel better than ever and using my arm like normal..it's my dominant. The shots do more harm than good.

I am going through the exact same thing. I'm a cross fitter worked out for a year with my injury. I'm 12 weeks out my trapeze and scapula are doing just as yours because they were forced to become the prime movers of my arm. It's a nightmare. I can't relax the trap no matter what I do. At my whits end. Has anybody overcome this issue and how ?

Im like you Kim, 8 weeks out and have more pain now than before surgery. I hate the oxy because it makes me sick and I don't like the feeling of being drugged. I now have carpal tunnel problems and neck issues are worse. I don't see and Drs answers on here or is this just a venting site. really scared I will never be normal again after reading all these posts. Sorry for your pain as well.

I’m having rotator cuff surgery Feb 13 , it’s 12:55 am I been sleep for about an hour and a half and awaken by the pain the surgeon says it’s a full tear . I put on the pain patch before went to sleep , I can’t take ibuprofen, aspirin and naproxen , I found this site searching if I can take metaxalone which the MD at physical therapist clinic gave me when thought it was a deltoid muscle strain before I saw the surgeon yesterday.this is an experience I wouldn’t want anyone to experience. I am not looking forward to post op .
