Scars on my testicles, sometimes they become a little dry and turn whitish

So years ago my balls were really itchy one day and I decided to go to town on them. Unfortunately I scratched my balls till they were raw. Like I had peeled of a good amount of the skin in that area of and anything touching it burned. After a few days the skin started to repair but there was a scar mark exactly where my two fingers were. I figured that the scar would eventually go away however it has been years and it is still there. There are no bumps or anything different it just discolored and slightly lighter color then the rest of my balls. It is kind of annoying and makes me a little self conscious. Is there anything I can do to help fix this. When I put on lotion the color becomes more similar to the rest of it. Sometimes these scars do become a little dry and turn whiteish. I'm not sure if its some kind of thing like jock itch but I do not think it is as the scar marks haven't changed in years and are located literally where i put my fingers and itched.
