Hi,
3 days ago my mom, 62 years old, started to scratch a mole, actually she didn't remember if there was this mole...and she's not sure if it previously was a mole.
anyway, after scratching it, it was all red but there was no bleeding.
after 3 days, it suddenly changed its color but i don't think it got bigger.
here's a picture of what it looks like, now.

i can see NOT a regular border around the mole, and there's a different color and different shades, tanner, brown and black shades and i don't like these signs.
what do you think about this? is there a risk of melanoma? :-(

I hope that your mom has had this checked by now. Melanoma is one of the most prevalent cancers that is killing people, while at the same time, one of the most curable if caught early. This means that people are not getting checked in time. If you see a change in color, shape, itching, etc. it should be checked right away. Please have her do so if she does not understand the potential. If she has had it checked since your post, please let me know what she found out. Is it melanoma? If not, what was it? I hope that she is doing well now.
