I appreciate all the posts here because i am having similar problems and have already seen 2 doctors and a urologist in an effort to get a diagnosis and a tratment. So far, no resolution.
I am a type 2 diabetic who is not in good control. I have pain in the left lower scrotum. There is no pain or anything irregular with the left testicle...nothing. Nothing on the right testicle or scrotum either. The pain comes and goes to a greater or lesser degree over a period of days but is almost always present. It appears to originate from a point on the interior scrotal wall near the left testicle. There is some redness visible in the area externally, but is not localized. The sensation of pain varies. It sometimes feels pinchy or prickly, and sometimes becomes an acute, stabbing pain which i can almost "pinpoint" which a finger. At other times it just feels sore and irritated. The pain sometimes radiates to the ventral surface of the penis which becomes tender and sore. I also have some burning sensation at the tip of the penis. I have had some problems with urination also, e.g. reduced flow, incomplete evacuation, itermittent flow, etc.
My 1st urologist examined me and said this was nerve pain due to my diabetes. He gave me some homeopathic ointment which I applied externally to the affected area and also to an area around my lower spine near the tailbone. It seemed to help some. The problem persisted.
My doctor recently examined the area and confidently diagnosed a fungal infection and gave me antifungal cream with an antibiotic. It seenmed to help also - for a time. But the condition persists.
I recently had a nocturnal ejaculation. I awoke to find the front of my undewear stained with a copius amount of blood.
I now have an intermittent burning sensation in my urethra in addition to the same scrotal pain.
I am on my way to an urgent care facility which also happens to have a urologists office.
Wish me luck. I don't think this issue is getting better and I don't think its going to go away by itself.
Do any of you know what the hell is going on with me?
