Curious to know if any has this or knows of this. i have had severe pain coming from my neck muscle (muscle between shoulder and neck) to the back of my eye. this happens on my right side. if i message the neck muscle in a specific spot, it eases the pain some. i wake up after a couple hours of sleep with this. it goes away after an hour or so. it usually hits me every other day for about 2 weeks, then goes away for months. last time i had it was about a year ago befor this time. a doctor told me it was my rotator cuff, but i can move my arm without any pain. also, when the pain hits, my eye is very sensitive to light, and it hurts to touch that side of my head.

You may have the beginning symptoms of a migraine attack, or inflammation of the arteries supplying the right side of your neck and head (temporal arteritis). Try analgesics such as aspirin. Also see your optometrist for an eye exam to rule out glaucoma.
