Hello. I'm 30 year old female and I'm desperate for some information. About whole my life I have suffered from excessive menstrual bleeding and painful periods. About three weeks ago I have had a partial hysterectomy procedure which was my only option.
Don’t get me wrong but I would do this much earlier but I have waited to have my two kids before it.
You can't imagine what my life before this operation was. Doctor told me that I have all the indications and that it will relieve my symptoms for good. The thing that confuses me is that now, a month after operation, I still suffer from severe post hysterectomy pain. What should I do? Could it be something serious?

Hi. I had this operation about ten years ago and I can tell you that I felt the same pain like you for months after operation. I believe this is quite normal because this is one very radical procedure.
So, it leaves a great impact on your physical health, hormonal balances and even on psychological state.
In this, post operative period, you could expect some discomforts such as dizziness, pain and bleeding. But, pain killers will make this more bearable for you. Take all the pain relievers prescribed by your doctor freely because it's very unlikely you will get addicted to pain killers because of your hysterectomy.
Limit your movement at the beginning and drink some multivitamin supplements. Exercise will definitely speed up your post hysterectomy progress but it can't be done until two or three weeks after operation.
