I dated a guy for three years. I was sexually active and unprotected with him. Recently I find out he cheated on me. I don’t know with whom, but he assures me that he used a condom. I was diagnosed with HPV and had visible warts. I got them treated and at the same time I started dating someone else. We were dating while I was on treatment for my warts and so I decided not to tell him. I was ok couple of months after, but now I noticed a few bumps on my boyfriend’s penis. It looks to me like they are warts. I don’t know how to ask him. I am embarrassed to tell him that I had genital warts when I start dating him. I think I gave him. What I should do?

I have HPV too and I told my boyfriend just recently because it got complicated. In the min time we were sexually active. I also haven’t told him about the warts since I got rid of them. I don’t think you gave him the warts but you probably did give him the virus. My boyfriend never got any warts and the bumps. I don’t think you can give him warts unless you have the warts present...Anyway, you should let him know.
