sharp pain from the left Testicle during Urination especially after waking up.

hello, 
For the past 2 weeks now, i feel a sharp pain on my left testicle when urinating especially after waking up from sleep. though the pain eases out as i start to urinate. i'd like to know what the probable cause and control measures before it deteriorates. thanks
