Should I be concerned with labia darkening?

I'm only 16 and my labia has been brown for maybe two years now. I am not sexually active (though I do masturbate), and the appearance does bother me as I know that this happens during middle ages with most women. I desperately want to lighten it, though the "at home" methods do scare me, as it's a very sensitive area and I do not want to make my problems any worse. I attached a link that has a list of diy treatments. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Please do not reply with "guys don't care about what it looks like" or "god makes us all perfect". I'm gay, and I really don't feel that religion has anything to do with my health. Both statements are completely irrelevant here.

Hi guest, first of all are you talking about your labia majora and surrounding area or your labia minora that you want to lighted?

What ever method you try your need to be careful you don't get any inside your vagina because that will end up causing you more problems, do you want to lighten the area because your scared future partners you have are going to think your not clean down there or is it just because you yourself find it unsightly and it affects your confidence?

How would you feel if you get a partner and the first time you get intimate together and you go down on them you find they also have a darkened vulva and long chocolate brown labia minora would that put you off doing anything or would you feel special because there giving you access to there most private area?

All these things you read about skin lightning don't always work and even if they do its not something you can use a few times until you achieve the tone your after then stop because it will just revert to the original colour again your have to carry out top ups for the rest of your life because it's just the pigment colour of your skin just like some people look naturally tanned and others look totally white.

Think long and hard before you do anything about are you doing it for you or because your worried what others might think.
