I am 28 year old female with 2 kids. I have extremely heavy periods which consist of wearing both tampon and pad. This has become a huge complication in my life. I am now have anemia and the doctors just place me on iron pills. As soon as I get the iron under control, it's that time of month again and I'm right back to being anemic. My doctor has recently suggested Novasure. I feel like this is the first doctor who has actually offered a suggestion of relief to me. He wanted me to spend the weekend weighing my options and here I am open to any suggestions. I want to know about side effects! Are the side effects worth not having these miserable periods? ?

I had novasure done 3 years ago and had no complications whatsoever. I bled the day after and that was it. Absolutely no bleeding for 3 years. The one thing i wonder about though and always forget to ask the doc is that my anemia was because of too much blood loss if I'm not bleeding at all now for 3 years can this cause iron overload.
