Recently my fiance has gone for his 3rd cortisone shot between his L4 and L5 disc in his lower back. About 10 days after the shot he became violently ill, with nausea, sever abdominal pain and vomiting. This his happened a few times in the past with multiple visits to multiple hospitals. Blood tests, ct scans the whole nine, everything came back clear. Every time this episode has occured no one except my 13 old son has put two and two together. He has never had one these "episodes" before he started getting the injections and does not get it till after a week or so after the injections. We have even been to a G. I for the problem ... no one could give us any answers. The GI sent him home with a prescrition for prilosec and a good luck pat on the back. I refuse to believe that these shots are not the cause of this stomach pain. After reading this website and seeing that he is not the only person out there going through this, has put our my minds at ease . We actually are not going crazy after all.
