I am 29 years old and i have had the same exact syptoms for about 4 years (upper left testicle, discomfort/pain radiating from the lower left abdomine to the lower left side of the back. At first I also thought it may have been cancer, it scared the hell out of me. My second thought was hernia, but, the family doctor diagnosed me with an ailment known as "a bag of worms". Can someone please explain this to me? The term doesn't seem very technical to me. By the way, the discomfort, not pain, has grown more over the years. I can only say discomfort because the "pain" dosen't keep me awake at night.

I have the same exact thing. It began about five years ago or so when I was in my late 20s. I can tell you the exact instant. I was at work and my left testicle suddenly began to ache and swell, literally out of nowhere. I took Advil and the swelling subsided. I later examined myself and discovered a tiny lump on top of my left testicle. I saw a Doctor who had a hard time even finding it. He was not at all concerned, but because I requested it, referred me to a Urologist who performed an Ultrasound two time, six months apart. The diagnosis was an epididymal cyst or spermatacele.

I've had it ever since. It hasn't grown in size. But the discomfort persists. A dull, not even pain, just annying discomfort. I'm always aware of the cyst. It's very subtle, but it is there. The discomfort can spread into my left buttock and down my thigh at times. I've considered having it removed, but still haven't decided. It does drive me crazy though.

I'm currently feeling the same thing on my left teste. I had the big "V", and wonder if it has anything to do with it?

ok guys just thought id help out with this, im 15 years old, and during football practice i took a blow to the nuts. cut um pretty bad and got a couple stitches. stitches came out 7 days later, cuts are fine, cant even tell they ever happen. HOWEVER several days later i noticed my veins or tubes im not exactly sure, but they feel like veins were pretty swollen. right around my left testi. kinda curly like. dosent hurt to bad to squeeze them, but the bottom of my sack was a little sore, and tender to the touch.
i went to the same doctor who stitched me up and it was diagnosed as epididymitis. he started me on antiinflammatories, and i may require antibiotics. you can look up epididymitis. I did. it tells you how to care for it. but its about a week later, i played the night after getting stitches, and another game since then. it seems to be getting better...my point is for this injury, dont mind it. just rest it, baby the area, and get on anti inflammatories (advil). and hopefully all of your scrotems are feeling okay, lol =)

I have had the same thing as you have described. It started when i was about 15, i used to do a lot of cycling and one day i had a sharp pain in my left testicle, when i checked it out it felt really lumpy and felt like worms in there. I was very stupid and didn't get it looked at. It continued to flare up now and then until i got it checked out today, went to the hospital and a doctor had a good look and confirmed it was a varicocele which is basically varicose veins in the testicles. It is not dangerous and usually doesn't require surgery and is definetely not life threatening. I would urge anyone who has anything out of the ordinary with their testicles to get them looked at, because luckily in my case it was not totally serious but there is always a chance that it could be. I was silly in waiting 3 years to get it looked at, because if it was cancer it could have killed me.

I had a lump on my left ball, i went to the doctor and he said some thing bout were my tube connects to my ball sorry i was day dreaming %-) lol not smart. But when i came on here and seen what people had written it scared the life out of me...!! I was paranoid so people who post think about 14-15 yr olds reading it !!!!!!! Other wise keep it to your self is rather not now than have read this and been paranoid for weeks and turns out to be nothin! Myn was like when i rub my finger of it, it felt like some thing burst nt litteraly but i put some preasure on it then it would suddenly go smaller like a cut of some sort. Lol But guys i would suggest you seeing a doctor (although i know you will not) i know some want but doctors have seen it all, when i went the doc said he has had like 6 people in asking the same thing i was that week, if it swells or some thing like that you got a problem !!! But guys its just that you are growing up and as far as i know testicle cancer is normally painless and you can feel it affecting your lower back or some thing but im noo doc so just saying from experience that i had you could have some thing completely different !

Good luck and if old posters (people who posted years ago) please comment tell people how you got on put there mind at ease because i know its panicing........... :-D

i have had a lump on the top of my left testicle for about two years now. i had it examined by my doctor in its early stages and he told me it was nothing to be worried about. the lump is painful when i touch it, and it sends a sharp pain going up into my stomach everytime i touch it. the lump also seems to change in size, sometimes its pretty big, and sometimes it can barley be felt but the pain is always there. i have uroligist appointment in two days and i am terrified to death that i have the big c. i am 21 years old and have read its common in men my age. the one thing that makes me feel better is that i have had this lump for two years and if it was the big c it would have shown its ugly face by now. i do have the lower back aches which they say is a symptom but i have had them for awhile after messing up my back lifting weights. it also feels like my left testicle is a little larger than my right and the part where the vein connects to the testicle is alot bigger in my left than in my right . i am so scared and just want to live along and healthy life. i really hope the doctor tells me its anything but cancer. if anyone has any information they could provide me with it would make me feel so much better.

I have recently found a tiny, tiny lump about half the size of a bb. Its started to give me some discomfort when sat down and when walkin, its right next to the tube coming from my testicle its easily found because it is hard and doesnt move, I get a weird feeling in the lower left side of my stomach for about 20 mins. Should I go to the doctors about this or is it not somethig to worry about?

I have the same problem. The doctor told me this lump above the left testicle is a cyst. He said wearing boxers isnt good for you if they do not support the testicles. hanging down without support will cause this. I bought some supporting them and the pain is less if not gone. The lump is still there but at least no pain.

I am 24 years old and just got married a year ago. I recently got a lump on the inside of my left testicle. Could this be cancer, or can it prevent me from having babies?
