Hi,
Does anyone have any ideas about this?
I have a small painful nodule on the right testis, about where the plumbing is attached on the top/side. I only noticed it recently, but it could have been there for much longer, I cannot tell. However, after my GP examined it, it seems to have become slightly larger and inflamed, and I can feel the pain through my groin area. The rest of the testis seems normal, so my GP says it is not worth the risk and effort getting further tests, it is just a benign lump. Some say cancer in this region is highly unlikely (about 6 cases a year in the state I live in) and screening for it, either by self examination or through tests at regular intervals is not necessary. Could it be something else?
Any ideas?
Thanks
L.

I recently found a small painful lump on the bottom of my testicle. My Dr. had an ultrasound done and it turned out to be a fluid filled sac called a hydrocele. If it is large, you could have it surgically removed. Mine is small and he said, since it doesn't cause me any pain unless ti press on it, just leave it alone. If it gets large as they sometimes do, then have it removed.
