hi..I'm an older guy who has lived life in the fast lane for most of it...and can at least offer an opinion and maybe some comfort...do you mind?
First....(*from my own many experiences),...women in general ..have various intensities in their vaginal scents, ranging from noting to quite strong. Some can be "fishy", even "acidic", very mild, or nothing. ...and it is very natural that it is increased with/while having sex. Most of this is normal, as well as with increase in scents depending on your time of the month, etc (your period). It is natural for scents to get stronger with sexual arousal...however if TOO excessive/odourous, it could be a sign something else needs attention. There are a few things to try...and good douche kits on the market.
Secondly..if you think you have an excessively offensive smell...you may have to go and get a really good D & C, as/or ...it could be a yeast related/infection thing too maybe...?. Every women is different and younger gals typically have stronger scents than mature-r women..likely due to the ovulation and age thing... still in your prime!etc, where-as post- menopause ...it kinda abates somewhat naturally, usually.
Thirdly, serious hygiene routine, with constant & regular maintenance should always be followed...(and make sure your partner has not got any weird infection thingy going on either!) So... if you have some sort of contributing factors..like an infection, extra yeast, etc...then get that cleared up first, and start "fresh", pardon the pun. THEN see... if that has helped curb the odor strength.
Remember..some/ various smell intensities can be written off as quite natural and normal, Stronger scents can be controlled.... and could even be diet-related to some degree. Excessive... can be a sign of something else.....so see your doctor, and maybe try that thorough D&C...so you know for sure you're as clean as it gets.....ok? Then see...
good luck.......:-)
