trying this method again today worked but i found that the amoxacillin HAS to be followed by a hot cup of theraflu inhaling the steam and drinking the theraflu to make the amoxacillin effective

ok first... VACUMME your home, DUST, and buy a AIR PURIFIER. I bought a True Air unit.. takes just ONE filter that is cleanable no replacement bs.. so this unit is pricey but in the long run it wont be an additional $40 every year for a new filter.. You just vacumme this one.
Next.. if anyone has painted recently.. this will dry your sinuses.

Squeeze a dab on a qtip.. swipe your painful area in your nose.. hell do the whole nostril first time.. just a small bead on the qtip. Will immediately feel like its workin. Keep doing it whenever you feel your nostrils get dry again.. but for me.. not even 2 applications in the first day. All the pain gone..

I have the very same thing and went to the doctor and he has perscribed antibiotics for it, now he is also sending me to have a upper GI ( stomach and esophagus ) he seems to think that they are connected: so if you have a lot of heartburn in the past like me yours may be the same. I will write back when the results are in and let you know how it went. Mean while do not snort antibiotics up your nose like told by one person here, Take this to the doctor

how to take the pills:- take 1 from each pills in the morning and in the evning.
how to use the droplet:-put three drops in each nose three times a day( after break fast,after lunch and after dinner )for five days.

Ive had this same bs... up till too weeks ago Ive used my a cappucino maker, and make my own starbucks like coffee everyday..
its been a month since my sinus issue went away.. everythng was great.
Huge coffee lover.. last week I was out.. drove into my local t - immies.. been month and half since ive been there....and got a 3 creme 2 sugar... no doubt! 1 hour later
same sinus c**p same stuffyness.. went back on cappucinos for 4 days.. gone.
2 days ago for self proof.. did t-immies 5 times in 2 days.. without any other types of coffee.. voilia.. im sitting here right now
stuffed like but dry nose.. and no smell... then wiggle the tip of my nose.. and go blow.. and voilia.. smells..
I am forced to believe that 18% creme has a related link between what were on here for.

I also have SMELLY GREEN SNOT ... I've tried MANY things. (I'm not english, so my spelling is quite pathetic)

brusing my teeth 10 times a day

Alergy pills
Breath mints
None of these things seem to make any long term difference
One thing I tried did make a difference
I would snif Baking soda and Salt desolved into warm water up my nose. At first it felt as if the snot was comming out in tons. As the week passed, I seemed better. The snot was not as green and thick anymore. It was even smelling better.
I had to stop after a week since my nose would start bleeding 5 times a day. I've always had a bad nose, it would start bleeding after eating an orange or taking Vitamin C, but maby It can work for you guys.
There is also another possible cause:
My Landlady told me a story about her son. When he was still a baby, his nose started stinking so badly, that she didn't want to hold him near her. One of his nose holes was constantly running, it had even made a red stripe from his nose to his mouth. She took him to a docter. He found a peace of sponge stuck in the boys nose. The boy must have pushed it up his nose by accident. The sponge had been there for weeks rottening. A day after the docter removed it, the smell was gone.

I also am having this problem and have been for months. I have finally taken action. This morning I boiled apple cider vinegar(which is known to kill fungus and bacteria) and inhaled the fumes. It burns like the dickens but you have to tough it out. I inhaled a good 20 times to the point of unbearable. It completely loosened everything in my nasal passages and I blew through a box of tissue. I then drank 2 tablespoons of the cider vinegar mixed with 8-10oz of water. I plan to do this 2 to 3 times a day. This is the first treatment so I will let you know if it works.

I too have experienced a foul smell from nasal mucus. mostly happens in the morning after i have showered and have had morning coffee. I blow my nose a dozen times before the smell subsides. I thought the smell may be due to some hair and nail vitamins i was taking. I havnt taken them for over a week and the smell is worse. I plan to go to the doctor next week but after everything I have seen here I am quite worried. What should I expect? and about a month ago I thought I just had some allergy problems and was using nasal spray often to clear sinuses, could that have caused this?

hi iv had this for about 6 months but the smell is exactly the same as puss from a tooth abcess. When i was younger i had collected this puss in my naval cavities n it was sucked out through a tooth in a 5 hr operation, but it never came down my nose it was noticed through an xray. This time however i feel a build up behind my gums then my face and head and out of my nose, so i do believe it is a build up of puss from my teeth again but its managed to build up that much its forced its way out.

Hi friends thank you for your replies I too have suffered from a smelly nose and smelly green mucous for years now. I have a answer for you that I wanted to share, I have tried all things to get rid of a my smelly nose.
One thing I have noticed is that sometimes and it has just happened tonight when irrigating my nose with saline solution a ball of gross sludge comes out of my nose every 6 months which seems to be trapped and then no smell at all for a week and then my nose becomes smelly again. What I think may be happening is that mucous may be getting trapped somewhere and rotting and hence the smell. What I can recommend is to not use a netti pot but something called nasa flow which not only has a squirting motion but a sucking motion and to use both. When I say use both squirt the water up your nose hard and then suck it out again hard and do this a few times and it seems to dislodge everything. Also turn your head on the side (and this takes practice) breath the water in through you nose and nose gargle it if you get me then blow it out.
Sounds stupid but it works do dislodge this rotting sludge in my nose and get rid of the smell.
