i have been on the pill for two months, and i have been double dosing in february atleast more than twice in that month. whaen i started my cycle at the end of the month thru the first of the month(Feb.26-Mar1) it was normal now on March the sixth and still going on. I am spotting blood, but i only see blood when i wipe. it is not heavy enough to wear a pad, but sometimes i may have a small stain in my undergarments. Is there any chance this might be an early sign for pregnancy, ovarian cancer, tumors. I have scheduled an appointment for my OBGYN.

Spotting between periods can be caused by many things but I think it is just the pill. Birth control pills could make a mess with your period until the body got used to excessive amounts of hormones. I see that you have already doubled the dose. This is said to be useful for stopping the spotting.

Sometimes, spotting could indicate that the pills are not as effective as they are supposed to be, so when you experience spotting, you should use condoms as well.

Other possible causes of spotting can be STD’s like Chlamydia and gonorrhea.

I don’t think you would be spotting this much if you were pregnant, I don’t think you are pregnant at all but that’s my personal opinion-I can’t say with certainty. If there was a possibility that you got pregnant, you should get tested. But don’t get tested now as it may be too early, wait for the day of your period and if it’s late, then get tested a couple of days after.

Ovarian cysts can cause spotting and bleeding between periods, so may be you could have an ultrasound and have it checked.
