My boyfriend was recently diagnosed with a staph infection. I have been away at college and not in contact with him. He found this out after we had sex including oral sex. I am now experiencing a yeast infection and a sore throat and trouble breathing but the sore throat is not constant it comes and goes. Is there anyway he could spread his staph to me in the form of a yeast/throat infection and could these symptoms be related or it it just a coincidence that I have these symptoms?

Hi just wanted to say yes you can get staph thru sex.
after the first two weeks together, I got bladder infection. I have been on anti biotics ever since. The Drs said oh honeymoon syndrom, gave me macrodantian.
The entire time 18 months of reinfection, with my boyfriend saying the patch on his butt and that he took pills for and put ointment on was just a yeast infection.
I think it was staph all along. Get to the Dr. ASAP.
