I've been having really bad stomach pains and cramps for the past few hours or so. I don't mean to be gross but I started my period for this month this morning, I'm almost 21, and I know very well what menstrual cramps are. These are not it. I usually take Aleve in the mornings to help with my menstrual cramps and usually never have a problem the rest of the day with them. I've never had these kinds of stomach cramps ever with a period.

The pains come in increments and then will subdue for a bit/few minutes, then another interval of pains will come through. The only thing that helps get through them fully is curling up into a really tight ball and waiting until the interval of pain is gone.

I have no idea what is going on, like I said I've never had this kind of pain, if someone could please help me in figuring out what it going on or what a possible solution is, I will be very grateful. Thank you.

It's too early to tell to be honest. I would wait a few days and see if anything changes. Could be a multitude of different things. Could be as simple as a typical stomach bug or cold that is making you feel under the weather at the same time as everything else.
