Hi. I'm 33 years old, slightly overweight, in seemingly great health. I just had a battery of heart tests ran including cardiac enzymes, holtor monitor, several ekg's, etc. and everything was perfectly normal. For that I praise Jesus! I do have a history of battling panic attacks and certain things can trigger them now though I am better at fighting against them. The symptoms I was facing that provoked the heart tests turned out to be anxiety per the doctor. My blood pressure is usually in the normal range, if it is high the diastolic is only slightly high. Anyhow, two nights ago I did quite a bit of running and jumping. Immediately following I had a burning sensation in my chest, it felt as if my airways were inflamed. This prompted much anxiety that I was thankfully able to control. I have battled off and on bouts of anxiety both two days since. Now, as to my question: Is it normal to experience stomach swelling after exertion. Today, after trying to jump around and things to test this "burning sensation" in my chest (which did not happen again, thankfully) my stomach swelled up. My stomach does this often for no apparent reason. But I've noticed it happens at least often after exertion. What are your feelings? Thank you!

Bloating is natural response to changes in your body, like, for example, when you exercise. And it obviously depends a great deal on the contents of your diet. Things can be a lot different regarding the bloating or even stomach pain and sweating, when you exercise, depending on if and what you eat before the exercise and whether you have drank enough water. But, drinking water during exercise makes some people nauseous and eating a small, healthy snack like banana after the exercise will prevent your body to “interpret” the exercise as a need to build up and conserve energy, so bloating should be reduced this way.
