Yesterday I woke up with a bad subconjunctival hemorrhage. I looked scary so I went to ER to get advice. I was told there that it was harmless and would clear up in a few weeks.
I'm a worried that this cleanup won't happen and I'll be left with a permanently red eye. The white is all covered in blood and there is little discomfort when I blink. It happened once long ago, but it wasn’t so severe like this. I wonder if anyone has seen a really bad subconjunctival hemorrhage. How long it could take to recover?

I don't know if evaluations for a clotting disorder necessary, but you say you've had these occurred. I’ve heard that patients with recurring subconjunctival hemorrhage may have underlying high blood pressure. My friend is a scuba diver and he also developed this problem due to pressure changes. It is usually harmless but I think that you should cheek your blood pressure.
