Hello! My sister has moderate myopia. She wasn’t able to see distance objects clearly which created much problems for her in the school since she couldn’t see the chalkboard and she had problems during the sport activities. She wears glasses now to correct her eyesight and she is satisfied. But, the problem is she is Suffering from myopia and headaches too. I don’t know if her headaches are related to her myopia.

Hello! The only symptom of myopia is blurred vision for distance objects. Headache, burning eyes or fatigue occasionally accompany the myopia, but they are not symptoms of the myopia itself. Since your sister wears glasses her eye sight has been corrected which means she doesn’t make additional effort for her eyes any more to see distance objects clearly which can sometimes cause headache. In some cases, headaches may also be caused by eyestrain related to eyeglasses. If she has intensive and often headaches she should visit her doctor. Headache can occur due to many different reasons for example water deprivation, blood sugar levels, sinus condition, stress, etc…
