Hello! I am Nancy and I am fourteen. I have been wearing my eyeglasses for two years. I was diagnosed a mild myopia and I was hoping it would stabilize in some time. I really dislike wearing glasses but I know I have to. I visited my eye doctor yesterday and I was very disappointed. My myopia is getting higher and higher! Why is this happening?

Hello! Don’t be disappointed. Your myopia will stabilize in a few years. It is common that myopia increases during the time of early childhood and usually stabilizes till 18 or 20 years of age. Your eye glasses can’t prevent the increase. They correct your eyesight and enable you the quality vision of distance objects. I know that wearing eye glasses can be sometimes annoying but you have to know they will improve your vision quality.
